CCSS have arranged for A squad to have a weekend of land training and swimming to help build on the swimming programme – this will take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings :
Saturday Morning 1st April, 07:15 – 12:00
07:15 – 09:00 Swimming training
09:00 – 09:30 Change and food
09:30 – 10:30 Strength and Conditioning session
10: 45 – 11:45 Spin session
Sunday Morning 2nd April, 08:00 – 10:00
08:00 – 10:00 Long Course training
For the Saturday morning session, you will need to bring your swimming kit as normal, together with Sports kit (Shorts, tee shirt, trainers) to be able to take part in strength and conditioning and a spare tee-shirt for the spin session.
You will also need to bring enough water for all 3 sessions and food to eat after the swimming part of the training, also something warm to wear home.
Early morning training on the Sunday is essential to gain the benefit of the land training. This is not optional for A squad swimmers, this is part of your training programme, and we are aiming to continue the strength and conditioning on a monthly basis.
